Leslie Wildman, Composer, On what it means to be a Community Stages' Artist "One reason, perhaps the main reason, I am a composer is to connect with others through music and in the best possible situation, allow others to connect with each other. There is nothing like being in an audience that is being brought together by what they are experiencing together in a theater. Perhaps you saw the Lily Tomlin play where she brings aliens to the theater to see a play. They are blown away, and (I'm paraphrasing, I don't remember exactly) they believe that the amazing thing is not the performance on stage, but the audience united in watching it.
That the proceeds from a Community Stages event would go to a worthwhile cause makes it even more exciting."
